Borg's Blog. FINAL!!! Carenport vs. Humboldt
The second set is just starting here now, Humboldt gets the first point. Carenport gets their first point with a huge spike. Humboldt starts to pull ahead again, 7-4. Humboldt gets another four consecutive points, making it 11-4, and Carenport calls another timeout. Carenport gets their first points in awhile thanks to some nice jump serves by their #2. 14-8 for Humboldt. Carenport is closing the gap between the scores up pretty quick here, it's now 17-15, and Humboldt calls a timeout to regroup. It's getting to be a close game now, Carenport has just tied it up at 21. Time for their first lead? Yeah there it goes. 22-21 as Carenport takes their very first lead of the game. It's now 24-24 and this is getting really intense. One team has to get two points to win now. They're going up point for point now, they're tied at 26. Carenport wins the set 29-27, and it's going to the third set.
Sorry I had to miss the first bit of this set my laptop just died, the score is tied at nine right now, and the mood is just barely contained within the limits of ridiculously tense. It's really close, they're still just going back and forth points-wise, it was tied at twelve, Carenport got the 13th point, and the teams switched sides. Neither team seems to be able to secure the lead, it's tied at fifteen now. Humboldt is pulling ahead now, the score 20-16. Humboldt just called a timeout, the score is now 22-20 for Humboldt. It's 24-22 for Humboldt now, they only need one more point to win this. And yes there we go. Humboldt just won the gold medal for the Provincial 4A Girls Volleyball. BAM. Wow. That was intense. In every way possible. Wow. This is Borg Lefsrud signing off, for the last time, it's been a pleasure to blog for you guys, don't party too hard, and goodnight. :)
Borg's Blog Clavet - MJ Vanier Bronze Medal Game
The second set just started, it's 8-4 for Clavet, but MJ Vanier seems to be keeping up at the very least. MJ Vanier just called a timeout at 12-5 for Clavet. It's now 14-7 Clavet. Now Clavet just won the second set rather easily it seems, the score was 25-9. Next up is the FINAL!!! :)
Borg's Blog Pre-game thing.
Borg's Blog Clavet-Carenport Game-Last set.
So we're about halfway through the third set between Carenport and Clavet here, the score's 13-10 in favour of Clavet. Carenport just called a timeout at 15-11, Clavet. Both teams like kinda exhausted. Haha. I would be too. Clavet's pulling ahead now, 18-12. Carenport seems to be closing the gap now, it's 20-18 and Clavet just called a time out. Carenport's pulling ahead! 21-20. Clavet called another time out after Carenport's next point. Clavet's tied it up at 22. The tie moved up to 25 now, and it looks like this could go on for a lil while. Nope maybe not. Carenport just won by the narrow lead of 27-25. And that's that.

Borg's Blog MJ Vanier - Unity Quarterfinal Game!
MJ Vanier takes a quick lead thanks to server #6, 5-0 for MJ Vanier. Unity closed the gap real quick there, 6-8, MJ Vanier. They're getting lots of really good volleys here. Timeout called for Unity. At 15-10 for MJ Vanier. MJ Vanier still holding their lead with a score of 19 - 15. Timeout for Unity at 21 -16 MJ Vanier. I'd like to comment on "Movember". Lotsa real greasy 'staches in here. And MJ Vanier wins the first set, score 25 - 16.
The second set has started, and they Unity takes they're first lead of the game, with a score of 6 - 4. MJ Vanier pulling ahead again, the score's now 12-7. Timeout called by Unity again, at 14-7, MJ Vanier. MJ Vanier throwing up two great blocks in a row. Unity's getting denied. Yet another timeout called for Unity at 18-7, MJ Vanier.
Controversial call of the game, when a MJ Vanier player appeared to palm the ball but, the ref called it an in ball. The score's 20-9. MJ Vanier. Unity picked up a couple hard earned points, 23-11, MJ Vanier. Then a couple more, 24-14. MJ Vanier calls their first timeout of the game after Unity has started fighting back for several points. Unity fought for it, but in the end MJ Vanier gets the final point to win the set, and the game, 25 - 16.
Borg's Blog Melfort-Humboldt Game
Up next we've got the MJ Vanier vs. Unity, which should be pretty entertaining. In the mean time anybody reading this should definately check out Keenan Lang's interviews with coaches, players, parents, and others I'm sure, and also our streeter's videos by Kaitlin Pardis and Nicole Wagner, and anything else that's going up. I'm not keeping track of all of it but I can guarantee it's ALL worth watching. And thanks to all our viewers for watching we're almost up to 4000 views now which is amazing, and it makes everything worth it. Thanks. :)

Borg's Blog. In the morning.
Hello again everyone, and good morning. Welcome to the second day of provincials. Today is ALL PLAYOFFS which I'm sure comes with some added intensity and excitement and other such things. Right meow I'm watching the round 1 of playoffs between LCBI and Melfort. LCBI won the first set 25-15, Melfort won the second set 25-22.
We're now well into the third set and it's 24-24. Both teams are playing really well. Okay and now Melfort won by a close score of 27-25.
Meanwhile in the Sr. Gym, Lumsden is playing Birch Hills. The first set just ended, Lumsden won 25-17, and the second set is just getting underway. Lumsden seems to be taking a quick early lead, they're up by seven points, the score's 7-0. The serve goes to Birch Hills now. Real impact player for Lumsden is their #4, with great offense, as well as #13 who really helps her team with her front row defense. It's now 16-6 in Lumsden's favour and they seem to be taking a rather quick and easy lead.
Lumsden had a seemingly easy win there over Birch Hills, final score: 25-11.
Good Morning!

Borg's Blog Carenport - Melville Game
Borg's Blog !!!
MJ Vanier won the first 25-13 vs. Humboldt. Get ready for the second coming up.
In the Jr. Gym, Clavet finished up their game against Canora, they won it two set to zero, both sets were cloe in the beginning but Clavet's attack turned out to be a little too much for Canora to take. The second set turned out to be very close in the end, but Clavet just won, 26-24, with much thanks to a great serve by Clavet' #6 Kelsey Cooper.
Back to the MJ Vanier - Humboldt game, they've entered the second set now and MJ Vanier is ahead so far by one, the score is 5-4.
In a minute I'll head over to the Jr. Gym to see what's happening there, keep checking back for all the updates. Bye now.

Borg's Blog Unity-Caronport Game
The first set was extremely close and intense all the way. Neither team ever really got far ahead of the other and it was a big battle back and forth the whole way, but in the end Caronport pulled ahead just a bit to win the set 25-20 over Unity.
WOW. Caronport's #2 had a huge spike for a point against Unity.
Crazy close second set, even closer than the first. There's a fair amount of enthusiasm in here. Unity won this set 25-22, so it looks like we're going to the third and final set. THERE CAN BEE ONLY ONE...lil Highlander reference there. =) ONE SET TO RULE THEM ALL. And...more. Okay I'm done now. Third set!
In the mean time Melville has beaten Birch Hills 2 sets to zero over in the Jr. Gym.
Unity's pulling ahead now and the score is 21-16. 24-19...? 25-19! Unity wins 25-19. That was exciting. What do you know.
Borg's Blog Update
Coming up next is the game between the Unity Warriors and the Caronport Cougars, and if it's anything like the last game Unity played it should be exciting.
