Interview with Clavet Coach

Borg's Blog. FINAL!!! Carenport vs. Humboldt

Martin Berg introduced both teams, and here we go. This looks like it'll be a really close game, They've been alternating getting points so far, and it's tied at 4 right now. Humboldt is pulling ahead now, the score is 7-4 now, thanks to some great serving by their #4. Timeout called by Carenport as Humboldt pulls up their lead 10-5. Humboldt is still ahead by five, the score's 14-9 now. Carenport has called another time out now that Humboldt's lead has increased to 8, the score is now 20-12. Humboldt is getting closer to the 25th point. It's 24-15. Humboldt just won the first set by ten points, the final score: 25-15.

The second set is just starting here now, Humboldt gets the first point. Carenport gets their first point with a huge spike. Humboldt starts to pull ahead again, 7-4. Humboldt gets another four consecutive points, making it 11-4, and Carenport calls another timeout. Carenport gets their first points in awhile thanks to some nice jump serves by their #2. 14-8 for Humboldt. Carenport is closing the gap between the scores up pretty quick here, it's now 17-15, and Humboldt calls a timeout to regroup. It's getting to be a close game now, Carenport has just tied it up at 21. Time for their first lead? Yeah there it goes. 22-21 as Carenport takes their very first lead of the game. It's now 24-24 and this is getting really intense. One team has to get two points to win now. They're going up point for point now, they're tied at 26. Carenport wins the set 29-27, and it's going to the third set.

Sorry I had to miss the first bit of this set my laptop just died, the score is tied at nine right now, and the mood is just barely contained within the limits of ridiculously tense. It's really close, they're still just going back and forth points-wise, it was tied at twelve, Carenport got the 13th point, and the teams switched sides. Neither team seems to be able to secure the lead, it's tied at fifteen now. Humboldt is pulling ahead now, the score 20-16. Humboldt just called a timeout, the score is now 22-20 for Humboldt. It's 24-22 for Humboldt now, they only need one more point to win this. And yes there we go. Humboldt just won the gold medal for the Provincial 4A Girls Volleyball. BAM. Wow. That was intense. In every way possible. Wow. This is Borg Lefsrud signing off, for the last time, it's been a pleasure to blog for you guys, don't party too hard, and goodnight. :)
